President Trump declared Monday “a great day” even after a tumultuous 12 hours that saw his incoming chief of staff fire the newly-minted communications director.

“A great day at the White House!” the president tweeted just after 6 p.m.

In addition to Anthony Scaramucci getting canned and Homeland Secretary John Kelly taking the reigns as chief of staff — Trump also honored a Vietnam veteran with the prestigious Medal of Honor on Monday.

It was not clear if Trump’s tweet was referring to the Medal of Honor ceremony — his first as president.
