Rescue crews search for man swept away by Rouge River in Laurentians

A rescue team continues to search for a man along the shores and in the waters of the Rouge River in the Laurentians after he was swept away by the current Monday afternoon. He disappeared in Huberdeau, south of Mont-Tremblant. 

The man was attempting to cross the river when he was pulled away, according to the Sûreté bu Québec. The person he was with alerted authorities. 

A team was sent out during the day on Monday but they were unable to locate him. The search was put on hold overnight due to lack of visibility.
