President Trump will be on Long Island on Friday to talk to authorities about MS-13 gang violence, but NYPD brass won’t be attending — because they’re too busy with promotion ceremonies, Police Commissioner James O’Neill said.

“We have a lot to do, a lot of work to do here in New York City. We have the promotion ceremony, and anybody we’d send out — we have two promotions, one at 10 and one at 2 o’clock,” the top cop told reporters when asked whether the department was sending anyone to Trump’s speech.

Trump will address cops and lawmakers about the brutal gang during a talk at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, which is home to the county’s police academy.
