Hillary Clinton will let her “guard down” about her stunning loss to Donald Trump in last year’s presidential election in a new tell-all book titled “What Happened.”

“In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I’ve often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I’m letting my guard down,” the former Democratic presidential candidate writes in the book’s introduction, according to publisher Simon and Schuster.

The book, scheduled for a Sept. 12 release, will reveal for the first time “what she was thinking and feeling during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in history,” the publishing company said in a press release on Thursday.

Clinton’s tome will be “her most personal memoir yet,” it said.

“Now free from the constraints of running, Hillary takes you inside the intense personal experience of becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major party in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules,” Simon and Schuster said.

The former secretary of state for former President Obama and senator from New York has written a number of books, including memoirs “Hard Choices” and “Living History.”

Her first book, “It Takes a Village,” was published in 1995 when she was the first lady.
