Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn are preparing to face questions from a studio audience in a live general election show.

The two party leaders will also be grilled by broadcaster Jeremy Paxman.

They will not appear together, as Mrs May refused to take part in a head-to-head encounter, and Mr Corbyn chose to go first after winning a coin toss.

The Battle for Number 10 will be broadcast on Sky News and Channel 4 from 20:30 to 22:00 BST.

Each audience Q&A session will last 22 minutes, with the interviews due to take 18 minutes.

A similar format was used in the 2015 general election, with Conservative David Cameron and Labour’s Ed Miliband taking part.
